About Us

We have been happily married for over 7 years.  From the beginning, we built our relationship on trust, communication, and fun.  We love to spend time together.  Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood with our dog Fozzie, or spending time watching a movie, our best times are spent together.

​We both knew that we wanted to have children, so we began trying to conceive right after we got married.  After years of trying and many rounds of fertility treatments, our path has guided us to adoption.  We know we are meant to be parents, so we are excited and fully committed to this journey of finding our son or daughter.  We believe the challenges we have faced have prepared us for adoption and to be the most loving and dedicated parents possible.

About Rob (written by Tammy)

Three words to describe Rob are hard-working, generous, and caring.  Rob is very handy and can build or fix just about anything.  His generosity is spread to anyone who knows him.  He is always willing to lend a hand to help a neighbor or family member.  

Family is what is most important to Rob.  He has two brothers and a sister and is very close to his mom and dad.  Not only does he have a great relationship with his family, but he has a very close bond with my family.  

Rob has worked hard to build a successful dealership that sells fleet vehicles.  His persistence and dedication have helped to make his business thrive.  The qualities that have made Rob successful in business will also make him an exemplary father.  Rob is very skilled and creative when it comes to household renovations.  His vision and patience in home improvement projects will be a great part of being a dad, too.

At any event, whether it is with family or friends, the kids always flock to Rob!  He loves playing hockey or football with the neighborhood kids, he takes our nephews to the baseball field to help them practice their hitting and fielding skills, and occasionally makes silly Tik Tok videos with our nieces!  Rob has a natural ability to connect with any child he meets. Rob’s patience, fun-loving attitude, and nurturing heart equip him well for fatherhood.

About Tammy (written by Rob)

Tammy is the kind of person that you could meet for the first time and want to become her best friend.  Her charisma could light up a room!  She has a heart of gold, is very compassionate, and her strength and determination can overcome any obstacle.  

Tammy has a very close relationship with her family.  Her parents are her biggest cheerleaders!  They support and encourage her throughout every stage of life.  She loves hanging out with her brother, sister, and all of her in-laws.  She has an incredible bond with her nieces and nephews.  They come to her for guidance, support, and fun!

As an elementary teacher for 17 years, she is dedicated to each and every one of her students.  The impact she makes on her students is undeniable.  She still has former students, who are now adults, keep in contact with her to share their life accomplishments.   Her love for and understanding of children are some of the qualities that make her an outstanding educator and a fabulous future mother. 

Tammy loves life!  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, kayaking, and snuggling with our dog Fozzie.  Tammy loves to host gatherings with family and friends.  Whether it’s a holiday celebration, a bonfire on Saturday night, or a dinner party, spending time with loved ones is her favorite pastime.  Tammy has longed to be a mother and she can’t wait to create loving memories with your child.

Our Family

Our family is our world and they couldn’t be more excited about our journey into adoption.  Both of our extended families live within miles of us and we see each other on a weekly basis.  When our families met, they made an instant connection and became immediate friends.  Some of our fondest memories with our families are vacations to Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head, trips to a cabin where we enjoyed fishing, hiking, and kayaking, and adventures to Kennywood and Idlewild Park.   We have seven nieces and nephews whom we love to spoil at any chance we get!  We enjoy taking them to drive-in movies, miniature golf, and to the Pittsburgh Zoo.  We are excited to introduce our future child to our fun family traditions.

​Our Home & Community

We built our home 5 1/2 years ago in a community where we have made lifelong friendships with our neighbors.  The streets surrounding us are bustling with children’s laughter all year long.  When we built our home, we chose our property with our future children in mind.  We have a large yard that is perfect for running and playing, a flat area that would be ideal for a swing set, and room to practice any sport.

Our community is an example of small-town America, where families gather for a sweet treat at the candy store and share a friendly conversation on the sidewalk. Our schools are ranked among the highest in the state with innovative technology and academic excellence.  There are a variety of family-friendly activities in our town, including hiking trails, lakes, farmer’s markets, festivals, and parks.  Your child will be warmly welcomed by neighborhood playmates and pets.

Rob and I believe that raising a child takes patience, respect, and teamwork.  We promise to raise our child with unconditional love, to support him or her to pursue their hopes and dreams,  and to always remind him or her of the loving sacrifice you made for them. 

We thank you for making this selfless decision to spread love from your family to ours.  We are choosing open adoption because it is important to acknowledge and celebrate all parts of our family story.  

We are excited to grow our family and are deeply grateful for the beautiful gift of love you are choosing for your child.
